Ingredients:
Flour..........................................1 Cup
Sugar........................................2 Cup
Butter........................................2 Cups
Chocolate Chips.....................4 Cups
Eggs...........................................6 each
Cocoa Powder...........................1/2 Cup
Baking Powder..........................1 Tablespoon
Salt..............................................1/2 teaspoon
Walnuts (or nut of choice)......1 Cup
Bacon...........................................1 Cup
(can add less or more depending on preference)
Chocolate Chips.........................1 Cup
Maple Syrup for drizzling (about 1/3 cup)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325
- Place a piece of parchment on a 9”x13” pan
- Fry several pieces of bacon making up 1 cup (about 20 total). Chop them into small pieces and set aside for later.
- In a medium bowl measure all dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder). Sift the dry ingredients and set aside.
- Toast the walnuts until they are a nice golden color and set those aside as well.
- In a large bowl measure sugar and eggs
- With an electric mixer mix until light and fluffy.
- While it is mixing melt butter and 4 cups of chocolate together, allow to cool then slowly add butter and chocolate to sugar and eggs. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Slowly add dry ingredients until everything just comes together
- Finish mixing with remainder of the chocolate chips and walnuts
- Cover the top of the batter with the bacon.
- Bake for about 10 min (batter should still be somewhat loose). Remove from the oven and drizzle the maple syrup over the top of the batter
- Bake for another 20 min or until the brownies are set. (They should no longer jiggle when the pan is moved).
- Let them cool then cut and enjoy!!!
